Activities For Autistic Children
Who says autistic children can't have fun? Activities for autistic children are specially designed to accomodate your child's mental disorder. Throughout this page, you will see that I have gathered a list of activities for autistic offspring from age 7 to age 16. - Singing. Even verbally-impaired children can hum or play instruments like tambourines & whistles. Sing repetitive songs that have educational lyrics -- these can really help him/her.
- Regular childrens activities, if your child is mature enough. Only choose games that do not involve physical contact with others, because then autistic children are less likely to get hurt.
- Organized sports. These are activities that autistic children may want to participate in as they mature. Just like a regular physical game, try not to involve your child in games that could hurt him or her, HOWEVER, you should still be open to those kinds of games.
- Learning activities.
Note: Oftentimes, autistic children want to be around their friends who don't have autism. This would be a good thing to allow & encourage, as it can help the learning process.
