Early Symptoms Of Autism

It is not impossible for your offspring to show early symptoms of autism. This will include the presence of the following developmental milestones:

1) not smiling by his/her half-birthday,
2) not babbling, pointing, or gesturing by his/her first birthday,
3) his/her first word comes after a year and a half,
4) not putting two words together by his/her second birthday,
5) delayed development, loss of speech or social skills,
6) won't make eye contact, and as they get older, will show inattentiveness to people around them.

If your child is showing one of these, he/she may have autism and should be evaluated by your pediatrician.
